Housing Programs - Funding
Assistance programs that are funded by the Redevelopment Agency's Affordable Housing Set Aside Fund are intended to fulfill California State requirements for the provision and preservation of affordable housing within the Redevelopment Areas that have been created by the City. The goal of the these programs is to maintain the supply and quality of affordable owner-occupied housing.
The programs are intended to assist in preserving the affordability of owner-occupied primary residences, not second homes, vacation homes, or rental properties. There is no prohibition of recipients owning a second home or other income property, for spending extended periods of time away from the residence.
